Oeschinen Lake is located high on the mountain and is not accessible by car for tourists. You have to leave your car in Kandersteg and take a gondola. From the gondola top station, you can walk to the lake in 20-30 minutes. In high season, there is a shuttle bus here as well. Nice hike through the forest with amazing views of mountains, waterfalls, and wildflowers. Access to the start of the hike is by cable car from Stechelberg or Gimmelwald. In Mürren, visitors can wonderfully admire the Schilthorn, Jungfrau, and the countless roaring waterfalls of the Lauterbrunnen valley.
Mürren station is the terminus of the shortest railway line in the Jungfrau Region. It is only four kilometres long. The trains of the Lauterbrunnen-Mürren (BLM) mountain railway bring passengers from Grütschalp station to the Winteregg middle station and the car-free resort of Mürren. At the other end of the track is the Grütschalp.
